The story behind the "Rae of Sunshine" bracelets:

Shontelle Cavanaugh's mother, Gina James, has been fighting to help her daughter receive the proper medical treatment and the justice she deserves.

Shontelle's middle name is RAE, and the charm Gina created is representative of her daughter and anyone else who has been a victim to the tragedy of mental illness.

 WHAT THE BRACELET REPRESENTS:

Each bracelet is made with The Tiger Eye Gemstone which is said to support clear thinking, integrity, practicality, and helps in manifesting will, courage and confidence.

Shontelle was an honor student at Pontiac High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Oakland University.  Her plan was to apply to Medical School.

As a young woman, she displayed all of the qualities that the "Rae of Sunshine" bracelet represents.

Postpartum psychosis victimizes the entire family.  Valuable lives can be lost through unjust incarceration as well through death and suicide.

Not only has Gina James lost her beautiful baby granddaughter, but now she is losing her daughter in a legal system that refuses to address the unique nature of this devastating illness.

Shontelle has been in the Oakland County jail for 4 years without a trial!

Gina hasn't been allowed to hug her daughter Shontelle for over 4 long years.

Please help us to make that happen!
